Ok, this is a BIG model

This was built for MountainCon: Episode III. Total size is around 18 ft tall by 22 ft wide and between 6 and 9 inches thick (depending on where you measure ). We had put it together to make sure that it would stand, by it's self, without any guide wires... it did... YES!
The cartush (I believe that's how it's spelled had not been added at this stage.

Unfortunately, this is the only time that the Stargate stood :'( After spending way too much time designing and building, when we went to put it up in the hotel, I came to the realization that they didn't have a forklift available to put it up. Silly me When we tried to have a "Gate raising" of our own, the foam snapped from the added pressure. It was my fault for not thinking this far ahead, and yet everyone around me at the time were soooo caring and thoughtful. They all wanted to blame themselves...so sweet

Anyway, never fear. Mountain-Con IV has been approved which means that I will be building Stargate 3.0 before September. It will be stronger, better and bigger (if it will fir in the new location that way )
